Dosage form: Water soluble powder.

Composition: Each 100g contains:

Doxycycline hyclate: 50 g

Excipients qs: 100g

Indications

Treatment of respiratory and digestive tract infections caused by germs sensitive to doxycycline.

Pre-ruminant calves: bronchopneumonia and pleuro-pnomonia caused by Pasteurella spp, Streptococcus spp, Arcanobacterium pyogenes, Histophilus somni and Mycoplasma spp.

Poultry: Respiratory tract infections caused by Mycoplasma spp, E.Coli, Haemophilus paragalinarum and Bordetella avium, Pasteurellose to P. multocida. Enteritis caused by Clostridium perfingens and Clostridium colinum.

Contraindication: 

- Hypersensitivity to tetracyclines

- Adult ruminants

- Animals with severe impaired hepatic function.

- Concurrent administration with penicillins, cephalosporins, quinolones and cycloserine.

Dose and administration

Orally, after dissolution in drinking water or milk replacement for calves.

Chickens and Turkeys: 20 mg of Doxycycline hyclate/ Kg equivalent to 40 mg of the product/ Kg of B.W/ day or 300 g of the product / 1000 L of water for 3 to 5 consecutive days.

Pre-ruminant calves: 10 mg of Doxycycline hyclate/ Kg equivalent to 20 mg of the product/ Kg of B.W/day divided into two intakes or 1g of the product/ 50 Kg of B.W/day, for 3 to 5 consecutive days.

Withdrawal period: 

Meat and offal:

Pre-ruminant calves: 7 days

Chickens and turkeys: 5 days

Eggs: Not permitted for use in laying birds producing eggs for human consumption.

Milk: Not permitted for use in dairy cows producing milk for human consumption.

Storage: Keep it in a cool, dry place. Temperature not exceeding 30oC. 

Store it in tightly sealed bags, protected from direct sunlight.
