Dosage form: water soluble powder.

Composition:

Each 100 g contains:

Levamisole Hydrochloride: 20 g

Excipients qs: 100 g

Indications:

Cattle, Sheep and Goats: Levamisole is highly effective against round worms in abomasal, intestine & lung including Haemonchus spp.,Trichostrongylus spp., Esophagostomum spp., Dictyocaulus spp., etc.

Poultry: Levamisole has a unique effect against mature and immature worms infest intestine (Ascaridia galli) and caecum (Heterakis gallinae).

Contraindication: 

- Animals with known hypersensitivity to components of the product.

- Animals producing milk or eggs for human consumption.

- Animals have significant renal or hepatic impairment.

- Concurrent administration of pyrantel, morantel or organo-phosphates.

Dose and administration:

For oral administration with the drinking water 

- Poultry: 100 g per 200 L of drinking water as a single dose. 

- Calves, goats and sheep: 10 mg/kg bodyweight (10 gram powder per 200 kg b.w) as a single dose. 

N.B. Levamisole is considered relatively safe to use in large animals that are pregnant.

Side effects:

Overdoses can cause colic, coughing, excessive salivation, excitation, hyperpnoea, lachrymation, spasms, sweating and vomiting.

Withdrawal period

- For meat: 10 days.

Not for use in animals from which milk or eggs are produced for human consumption.

Storage: 

Keep it in a cool dry place, protected from direct sunlight. Temperature not exceeding 30oC
