Indications:
Cattle: Flunixin 5% is indicated for the control of pyrexia associated with bovine respiratory disease, endotoxemia and acute bovine mastitis. Flunixin 5% Injection is also indicated for the control of inflammation in endotoxemia.
Horse: Flunixin 5% is recommended for the alleviation of inflammation and pain associated with musculoskeletal disorders in the horse. It is also recommended for the alleviation of visceral pain associated with colic in the horse.
Contraindication:
in animals suffering from cardiac, hepatic or renal disease, gastro-intestinal ulceration or bleeding, hypersensitivity to the product.
Dose and administration:
For intramuscular or intravenous administration.
Cattle: 2 ml per 45 kg bodyweight. Repeat if necessary at 24 h intervals for up to 3 consecutive days.
Horses: 1 ml per 45 kg body weight by intravenous injection only. Treatment may be repeated once or twice if colic recurs. In case of musculo-skeletal disorders, treatment is once daily for up to 5 days according to clinical response.
Withdrawal period:
Animals must not be slaughtered for human consumption during treatment.
Cattle: 10 days from the last treatment.
Horses: 7 days from the last treatment.
Milk for human consumption must not be taken during treatment.
Milk for human consumption may only be taken from cattle after 24 hours from the last treatment.
Storage: Keep it in a cool dry place, protected from direct sunlight. Temperature not exceeding 30oC
